Legal Question in Criminal Law in Canada

Outstanding bench warrants

My fiancee and I have outstanding bench warrants for felony counts of marijuana possession and paraphenilia. We plan on making a trip to Canada soon and my question is, when we are crossing the border will these warrants show up and prevent us from being able to enter? Or even worse could we be extradited to the state where the warrants are outstanding?

Re: Outstanding bench warrants

As of January 1, 2007 you need a passport to enter Canada. Even if you already have a passport, it is very likely that they will pick you up on the NCIC and refuse you admission to enter. If it's a felony count, that's a pretty big deal and I think it is extremely likely that you would be extradited to the state where the warrants are outstanding.
