can a brain injured person who is impulsive an cannot live on his own and was not charged with any crime be legally liable to pay a large corporate store a certain amount of money even though he was not charged and was taken to the hospital and was there for 9 hours to be checked for a seizure His dailantin was very low and they were not sure if he had a small one or not This person has not short term memory and cannot speak he is aphasic and very impulsive and lacks the skills to know what is right and wrong many times They are threatening him with legal action if he does not pay This to me is extorsion

Demand letters sent in Canada to shoplifters amount to a bit of a scam: The authors of these letters appear to have no intention of taking any legal action at all.
