Legal Question in DUI Law in Canada

DUI waiver

I was turned down entry at the Canadian border 2/19/08 because I had past convictions for DUI. One in 85',98',and 03'. Is there any waiver I could apply for (a company needed tech. support) that would allow me to temporarily work in Canada if not, do the same laws apply if I fly in and don't drive.

Re: DUI waiver

DUI is a felony in Canada and the Canadians will turn away anyone who they know is convicted of DUI. How did they find out about your DUIs? Did you use a passport to gain entry or just your driver's license? Oncwe denied, it requires a special procedure to request permission to enter Canada. Call the Canadian consulate in Seattle to see what you and your employer can do about this. Good Luck!
