Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

I have a 16 year old daughter and she lives with her father. Recently, due to influence from her dad and step-mom, my daughter has decided that she does not want anything to do with me. We don't talk, or see each other. My question is do I still have to continue to pay child support?

As noted on the LawGuru website questions directed to this lawfirm must be answered with reference to British Columbia law. The law varies from Province to Province and may not be the same in other Provinces or Territories.

In BC, you must pay until the daughter turns 19 and if she is in fill-time attendance as a student or for another good reason (such as health) is not able to become independent after 19, you may very well have to keep paying child support.
