My daughter is two and the biological father has never seen his daughter and does not try to, so at what point can the man I married and is now her father adopt her?

Re: adoption

In British Columbia, you may apply at the court for an adoption order at any time, but you will require either the father's consent or an Order of the Court dispensing with his consent. After your daughter turns 12, it will also require her consent.
