Where can I find as much information about BC Adoption Laws? Is it called the Universal Adoption Law? Are the adoption laws provincial or federal?

Re: Adoption Laws

Adoption laws are Provincial, but Federal laws must be considered when adopting from out of Canada, because there are immigration issues and international agreements to consider. To find out about adoption laws in B.C. the best place to start would be one of the law Libraries located i n most of the courthouses in B.C. Access to the general public is allowed during specified hours at many; simply consult the phone book for the local numbers and call to inquire. In B.C. there is no such thing as the "Universal Adoption Law"; we do not know where such a law might be found.
