Legal Question in Family Law in Canada
Age of majority
Both parents (each divorced and remarried) live in NS - two children of the marriage, split custody. Oldest child just turned 18 (days ago) but lives in Alberta on his own with job, girlfriend & baby on the way. Is he still considered a child of the marriage in relation to maintenance payments?

Re: Age of majority
I'm unable to answer that because child support and separation agreements/divorce orders can include so many unique details.
For example, under some agreements, parties agree that one spouse will pay child support until the child reaches a certain age. Others can state that one spouse will pay child support until the child is finished university.
You would have to go back and look at what triggered the child support: divorce order/separation agreement, and see what event constitutes the end of child support.
