Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

Child Support

My live in boyfriend is now being taken to court for child support requested by his ex. I was wondering if there is any way that my income will be tasken into account in deciding how much support he pays as we do live together, and what would the implications be if we were to get married??? SO basically I want to know if there is any way that she can get a hold of anjy of my money. We do not have contact with or any vistation with the child either.

Thank you.

Re: Child Support

In British Columbia, you income can be taken into account if hardship is claimed and under certain other circumstances. The situation in other provinces can be, and usually is very different than in British Columbia, which is why this answer has no relevance at all to provinces other than B.C.
