Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

i was in a common law relationship and my ex has custody (no written or verbal agreement made yet) of our 3 year old son. i asked her not to take him on a camping trip as there was a male there that last year was so drunk he started threatening people with a knife. i asked her not to take our son but she did. i have also been notified by her neighhbours that she drinks alot and smokes close to our son. what can i do?
