Re: No contact order

This answer assumes that the no-contact order is a civil order, not an order under the Criminal Code. If this assumption is not correct, this answer is also incorrect. You enforce the Order: a no-contact order is similar to an injunction. If the person who is to refrain from contacting you has contacted you, you must get the evidence of doing so (your affidavit and that of any witnesses to the contact) and then apply for an order to have the person found in contempt of court, and punished accordingly. A lawyer will know how to do so. In providing this answer, it is also assumed that you have done nothing at all to encourage the contact - if you have invited contact on some occasion or other and then after that the unwelcome contact was made, the situation is much more complex and you must seek legal advice.
