Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

controlling, over reaching step-mother

Step mother constantly undermining biological mother, cutting childs hair, ear piercing at age 6, body tatoos - stick 0ns, interfering with phone calls, etc.etc. What can the biological mother do to have her rights heard and to stop the constant 'pushing the envelope' to instigate frustration and further acromony when the childs father encourages the step mother to continue with her rediculous behaviour? There seems to be no real concern for the child.

Re: controlling, over reaching step-mother

This question is very difficult to answer,a s not enough detail ahs been given. We assume that the child lives with the biological mother and the things complained of occur when the child visits the father and step-mother. if that is the case, then the biological (custodial) mother may be able to ask the court for an order that such things cease. If they do not, then the offending people may be punished for contempt or access may be restricted.

If the child lives witt the father and step-mother, then the situation is very different.

In any case there are many factors to consider, and no definitive answer can be given because these factors have not been provided. Importantly, a copy of the custody and access order must be seen.

A full consideration of the issues is far too complex for LawGuru which is intended to provide some general advice only. The questioner must see a lawyer as soona s possible.
