Can Custody Be Fought In Canada From Oregon

My niece, born in the US, had a child out of wedlock while in Canada. Sperm Donor now has custody in Canada. Can custody for her child be fought from America?

It depends on many factors, but some of them are:

1. What Province the child and parent having custody lives in,

2. The age of the child

3. Whether or not there have been legal proceedings anywhere at all and any orders that resulted, or if there have been verbal or written agreements between the parents
