Divorce legal in India

Just had an Uncontested divorce in Toronto, is the divorce legal in India to be able to remarry in India. If not what are the steps to 'legalise' the divorce in India

An uncontested foreign decree may be enforced in INdia if it can be established that the defendant was duly served; and that the court granting the decree had territorial jurisdiction, which again would depend upon place of residence and marriage etc.
