Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

Divorce

I was married and have been seperated from my wife for about 4 years. We have no children.

I recently went to replace a lost social insurance card and I was asked for my birth certificate. My birth certificate states my name as being my mothers madien name, but my Mother remarried when I was young and I took my stp fathers name which I have used for over 30 years.

So I was told I have been living under an assumed name for 30+ years. All my ID, drivers licence, SIN, medical insurance...everything has been switched to my legal birth certificate name.

Question: Was I ever legaly married? as I was married under my assumed name.
