Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

Divorce

I was tricked into marrying an american in 1999. He was only interested in getting into Canada. Immigration escorted him out of the country and I have not seen him since. We have never consumated the marriage and I would like a divorce. I have no idea where this man is in the states or if he is alive or dead. What are my options?

In British Columbia you may petition for an Annulment or for a divorce; our firm or any competent family law lawyer in B.C. will be able to handle this for you, including the issue of him being hard to locate.
