joint child custody

I have joint custody with my 4 yr old daughter, the father has on every other weekend, due to work I may move to the Island for work, live in Vancouver, but court papers say , 4 yrs ago, must remain in the lower mainland, can I legally move with my daughter for work resasons

Without examining the documents, we can only give a tentative opinion, but in all probability you must apply to Court and obtain a Court Order for permission to move. Permission may or may not be granted; it is by no means automatic, and depends on a number of factors, of which your work reasons are only one. You should see a lawyer as soon as you can.
