The obligations are a very complex field and are usaually very specific to the particular situation. This question is too complex for summary advice on a website such as LawGuru. Please consult a lawyer; most give an initial consultation without charge or obligation. You may casll any lawyer in the phonebook and ask if they do or call the lawyer referral service of the Canadian Bar Association (in the yellow pages - 1/2 hour for $25, which many lawyers don't charge).
