Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

I have moved from BC to the NWT and currently both my children live with me. Does NWT or BC family law apply?

It depends on a numer of factors, which include (but these are not all of them):

1. Is there a BC order dealing with the children and if so, what it says about moving

2. How long ago you moved

For a more definite answer a lawyer has to examine all of the circumstances and the order(s).
