Pension splitting

I have a court order stating my ex husband's pension is to be split equally with me. His pension office says I have to pay $500.00 to have this done. Is the correct?Do I have to pay to have the pension divided?

In British Columbia, the administrators of pension plans are entitled to charge an administration fee for division of a pension; $500.00 is a normal fee.
