Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

How do I proceed with bringing my son's ex wife to court. It has been a very ugly separation and now she is not letting us see the grandchildren. She called the police and they said that if I go near the house I will be arrested. I have done nothing wrong. She is a very controlling woman and is useing the kids. Please help me.

In British Columbia your grandchildren have a right to access to you; access is always a right of the child and not the parent or other relative. In BC the law makes provisions for access between children and other family members; it is however a complex process and the evidence gathered must be properly prepared and presented. You are well advised to seek the assistance of a British Columbia family lawyer. The law varies from Province to Province and may be different in provinces and territories other than BC; we do not express any opinion about the law in Provinces where our firm is not licenced to practice.
