Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

Getting a Restraing Order &Notice to Trespass

Hi,

I need some help please. I went to court last week to get a restraining order aginst me ex-husband , who has been causing trouble for my new husband and I.I was told I have to attend court on Aug.26th after he has been served. I also have some papers that I have to serve on him.One is a ''Notice to Trespass'' I was wondering if anyone could help me prepare one? Also how am I to serve these papers. My lawyer when I got my divorce didn`t get me a restraining order like I ask him to repeatedly even though he had been calling my lawyer and sending him letters. I was told that I could have these letters and ones that he has sent me entered into evidence when I go to get my restraining order.

I have to fill out the affidavite for this and see that my ex gets it before court date. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Carol

We could likely help, but you have not given sufficient information. Further there appears to be some confusion - you refer to a "Notice to Trespass" - we have never heard of such a document in use in British Columbia
