Legal Question in Family Law in Canada
Separation and child support
I am not looking for legal separation or divorce as i do not want to traumatise my child for life. But this mariage is abusive more on emotional and mental and i am not able to be there 100% for my child. Is there anything like non'-legal separation where i can live separately from my spouse and recieve child support. I dont want any spousal support.

Re: Separation and child support
Yes, in British Columbia you can physically separate and ask the Courts to award child support. If your spouse wants a divorce he will get one however, as there is no defence to a divorce action.
