separation in and out of the home and whether i can leave

i need to know if i can leave the home under the grounds that mental anguish is stressing me out due to her threatening to stab me and she said it in front of the kids

In British Columbia, you can leave the home whenver you want, whatever reason. You don't need a reason. Youd do need to support the children. As to the threats we can not express any opinion because much more information is requires, but perhaps she is in need of mental health treatment and should be out of the home herself. You should consult a lawyer immediately.
