Stepchildren

I am just wondering, if my husband happens to die, could his estranged children (my stepchildren) come after his assets?

Re: Stepchildren

In British Columbia, they could; much would depend on the reasons for the estrangement and the relationship between them and their father and whether or not he has in the past supported them, whether or not they have any disablities, and their ages. This answer is applicable ONLY to British Columbia, as noted on the lawguru website.
