support

I am legally separated, my ex wants to divorce me so he won't have to pay spousal or child support, can this happen?

In British Columbia, while he can divorce you, he can not escape paying child support. Depending on a number of factors (some, but only some are: your and his education, whenter or not you have both been employed or are now, what each of you did before the marriage and during it, if either of you gave up or put on hold a career for the sake of the marriage, the length of the marriage) he might or might not have to pay spousal support. This is a complex questin adn you should see a b.C. lawyer as soon as you can.
