Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

Support

Can you please tell me How long is a child or parent entitled to child support

Is it till the child attains the age of 18 or is it longer if the child is still attending school full time

My divorce andchild support agreement does not stipulate a time frame

Thanks

Re: Support

You have not provided enough information; it depends to a great extent on:

1. What province the non-custodial parent lives in

2. What province the custodial parent lives in

3. If the child has special needs of any sort

4. What province the child lives in and what the child is doing with respect to education, work, etc. The age of majority differs from province to province as does the manner in which the courts have treated the obligation to support an adult child who is pursing education
