Legal Question in Family Law in Canada

visitation

i am from bc, canada. some time ago i married a woman that was from oregon, u.s.a. we married in oregon, and we lived in bc. we had a child together here in bc. as time progressed we felt it necessary to seperate. she took my son and moved back to oregon. shortly there after, as i tried to visit my son, i learned that a fine i had in bc (1992)prevented me from going to see my son in the u.s. i had applied for a pardon and later learned that i needed a waiver as well to enter the states. all that time though my x wife has been using my son against me and in 5 years i have seen him only 4 times. she does have full custody because i was not allowed to enter the states during the devorce proceedings. am i allowed to see my son? is she obligated to at least meet me at the border providing i pay for all the expenses?i miss my son dearly and do not know what to do at this time...please help..regards.

Re: visitation

This question is to complex to answer in this forum and too little information is provided. You should contact a lawyere immediately. in B.C. the Lawyer Referral Service of the Canadian Bar Association provides a very low-cost initial consultation; also many lawyers in B.C. do not charge for the first interview. You should look up the number for "lawyer Referral Service" in the boxed announcement headed "Directory of Public Legal Services" in the yellow pages at the end of the section on "Lawyers". We can not give you the phone number, because this site will ot allow numbers to be used.
