If I have been asked to be a character witness in a divorce settlement and do not show up for court, what will happen?

We presume that you have been requested through the use of a Subpoena. If you do not appear,then in B.C. the Court may be asked to issue a warrant in which case you will be arrested. It is contemptuous not to appear.
