Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Canada
is this harassment
My teenage daughter is receiving collection calls on her cell phone regarding my bill. My daughter is a minor (17) and hold no responsibility to the balance owing. I have told this company repeatedly not to contact my child and yet they continue. This has been happening over the last 5 months. Can i do something about it?

Re: is this harassment
Yes, this is harassment.
I suggest that you send them letter asking them to cease and desist from contacting your child who is 17 and has not yet reached the age of majority.
If they don't quit, then you may consider suing them.
The problem in this case would be to establish a reasonable framework for damages.
