Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Canada

Should I sue my parents' insurance company?

I live on my parents ranch and 21 years old and am a boarder there. I work elsewhere, my car was parked in one of their outbuildings and the roof fell on it. Their insurance company has refused to pay because I am a relative of theirs. This is a complete loss and it was a collector car, irreplaceable, and was stored for the winter so no other insurance was on it.

Demand the proof of loss forms and complete and submit them if you have not already. Go to a lawyer skilled in Plaintiff insurance claims and get an opinion on the exclusion clauses in the insurance policy. Insurance companies are notorious for denying claims because that's how they make their money. Many denied claims are paid, though frequently not in full.
