Legal Question in Immigration Law in Canada

Americans, operating a business in Canada.

Myself and four others formed a corporation in the state of WY. Through the corporation we bought property in British Columbia and would like to build a house on it. We would like to know if it is legal for us(Americans) to rent the house to other people for a profit. What laws(specificaly) pertain to this situation?

I would think that Canadian law controls here. A U.S. corporation can usually act as a separate person and do most acts that human beings can do, like buy and sell and rent property. The issues of a U.S. corporation buying land in Canada would be whether Canada permits non-citizens to own land in Canada, and reporting the taxes involved in the profits made. Glen
