Legal Question in Immigration Law in Canada
I am a Canadian citizen and my boyfriend is an American citizen (living in America) and around this time next year I wanted to move in with him and possibly start planning a wedding. I have looked in to the Fiancee Visa and only 90 days of living together and planning a wedding seems like a VERY short amount of time. I also have heard that people marry on a tourist visa then they are deported back to their country of citizenship and file a certain form in their country of citizenship to petition to live and work in America. I would not want to spend time away from my boyfriend/husband especially just after having gotten married. What do you think is the best way to go about this? I would just like to move there within the next year and am not sure where to start.

Since you are a Canadian citizen, there is no requirement that you obtain a visa to enter the U.S. (as long as you have a legitimate purpose for entering)
