Legal Question in Immigration Law in Canada

Dual citizenship USA and Canada Gay Card

My question concerns dual citizenship between USA and Canada. This is a gay relationship. My propective partner and I are Canadian and American citizens respectively.Due to financial considerations and other issues, she can not immigrate to the US. She has proposed I immigrate to Canada in order for us to marry, which would mean my being granted Canadian citizenship under what I understand as the ''Gay Card'' provisions. Would this necessarily mean I would relinquish USA citizenship? As a former US Government employee, would it mean the forfeiture of pension and benefit? Would I be able to keep any holdings such as land or houses in the US?

Re: Dual citizenship USA and Canada Gay Card

I assume that you will be given Canada residence, not citizenship, which means you will retain your US citizenship and all the other rights associated therewith. Email further questions. Good luck!
