Legal Question in Immigration Law in Canada
H1 stamping from Canada
I am a citizen of Pakistan, but have done my bachelors here in the US. I recently graduated and right now I have an approved H1 status, along with the I-94 form. I would like to know if it would be possible for me to get my H1 stamped from Canada. As in visit Canada and upon returning obtain an H1 visa from the American Consulate there.
I have heard rumors that I can get my H1 stamped, only from the country of which I am a citizen.
I would appreciate any clarification that anyone can offer on this issue.
Thank you in advance.

Re: H1 stamping from Canada
Yes, it would be possible for you to get your H1 stamped from Canada. But you should use a lawyer to help you and to go with you. Some lawyers specialize in doing this. Contact me and I will recommend a good one.
It is NOT correct the rumor you heard that you can get your H1 stamped only from the country of which you are a citizen.
