Legal Question in International Law in Canada
inheritance
My father passed away in England in October of 2005. I live in Canada. In June of 2006 I received an inheritance. The Solicitors that I hired to deal with the Probate in England have just written to me stating that my Father had received an overpayment of pension from London Transport and they are asking me to pay that money back. Do I have to do this?

Re: inheritance
Why should you be entitled to money not rightfull receivd. You have to pay back, but England cannot force you or garnish any of your assets

Re: inheritance
Mr. Zimmermann is correct. You don't have a right to the money but collecting it from you may prove difficult.
