Coffee burn injury at catering hall

Our 3 year received 3rd degree burns at a catering hall while attending a wedding reception in Windsor. Does this hall have any responsiblity due to its negligence in Canadian law?

Re: Coffee burn injury at catering hall

It is possible that the catering hall may be liable for your child's injuries. However, I need more details on how the injury occurred and when. I would be happy to discuss this matter with you in greater detail. Please feel free to contact me at (800)976-5636 or (248)737-5544. Shannon L. Wirth, Esq.

Re: Coffee burn injury at catering hall

Canadian law, both statutes and common law, is very similar to that body of law found in the U.S. So the necessary question is whether or not the hall was negligent in a duty owed to your son/daughter. And from the information you have provided that question is impossible to answer.

I would basically want to know exactly how the accident happened, and then go from there.

You may contact me directly if you wish.
