Re: Slip and Fall Accident @ Hotel

There is no such thing as an answer about such an incident that is applicable to "in Canada"; each Province or territory is an independent jurisdiction within the Confederation for such purposes and the answer is dependant upon the law of where the incident occurred. In British Columbia, a person over the age of 19 years and otherwise capable must sue within 2 years of the incident or lose the right to do so. There are exceptions dependant on circumstances that are too complex to go into here and which in any case can not be answered without a great many more details than supplied. The inquirer should see a lawyer in the Province where the incident occurred immediatley - certainly within the next week .
