Was told that the amount requested from husbands lawyer was more then the adjuster was authorized so now its at the insurance companys head office...Is there a time limit for an insurance company to respond?

Re: Slip & Fall injury 2003

Your husband has two years from the date he fell to commence a law suit in court - otherwise the action is statute barred. If your lawyer is trying to settle with the insurance company and the claim has been commenced, there is no time limit for the insurer to respond unless the Court has made an order to that effect. Unfortunately, I do not know enough details to provide you with further advice.
