Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Canada

Will for deceased in Canada

I live in Michigan, however my uncle who lived in Windsor Ontario named me and 10 of my cousins as beneficiaries to his will. The executor is his Common Law Wife. The Will calls for her to take the procedes of the house. She was to sell certain items and distribute amoungst neices and nephews. We just received a breakdown of items sold and expenses. The executor is taking 1/2 of procedes and then subtracting all the funeral expenses and misc. expenses for the past 4 years from our portion. This includes items purchased to maintain her home such as law mowers, weedwackers (which she is keeping), utility cost of home while in probate etc. She included a letter stating that a check was received, which it wasn't and states that all 11 must sign before anything is distributed and that we all agree not to sue her in the future. I believe she already took her questionable half and all the procedes from the Home. Can she do this. Automatically take 1/2, deduct questionable items without our concent, us to sign a receipt for money we didn't get yet and hold that money hostage until everyone agrees to her stipulations? Since I am in Michigan it is very difficult for me to find councel in US for Canada. I appreciate any advise.

In this case, as I am not familiar with Canadian law, it would be best for you to contact someone directly that may handle Canadian law or actually contact a Canadian firm to represent you.
