who do I contact to find out if my lawyer has actually filed my application to probate a will

Re: will probating

Contact your lawyer and ask him/her to provide you with a filed copy of the application for your records. If you are unsuccessful, go to the Court House of the jursidiction where your mother lived and ask them to run a search to confirm whether or not the application has been filed. The search costs about $10.00.
