Legal Question in Immigration Law in China

greencard holder deliver baby in the homecountry

I am a greencard holder and planning to go back to China for a month in two months. I will be six month pregnant then. Though the chance I'll deliver the baby in China is small, I still want to know what will happen if I deliver the baby in China, and how can I get him/her to come back to US with me.

She can get LPR status through you if you act fast. The first thing to do would be to notify the U.S. Consulate abroad.

Presumably your baby will wait to be born until you return. However, if that does not happen, you will be able to return with your baby, and your baby will be granted status. You will need to contact the US embassy right away. If you have further questions or concerns, you may contact me.

My best wishes - and congratulations!
