Legal Question in Employment Law in China

I work as COO for a local branch that is part of an international company, due economic crisis we were forced to do a major downsize, even so the cash-flow is not enough and we suffer constantly delays in payrolls or even not be paid, which are the legal consequences if my local branch collect some debts has enough money to do the layoff for all employees including me and close my branch without notification to headquarters?

Hi, Do you mean you want to close the local branch, which is not a subsidiary, without notification to headquarters? I'm afraid you need the resolution executed by the headquarters to apply for the registration.
