Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

I live in Colorado Springs, CO and I am facing 3 counts Distribution Sch II and 2 counts SE. I am 51 and I have never had any Drug charges in my history. This was setup by a affiant and a CI. Yes, I am scared to death. My question is; What is the purpose of a motions hearing? What if no motions are filed by your attorney?

The purpose of a motions hearing is for the court to address any motions that may be filed by the attorneys. There is not always a basis to file motions, and it is not uncommon for attorneys to file no motions. If no motions are filed, then no motions will be heard. The case will proceed towards trial or a plea agreement.

A motions hearing is a hearing on motions. The prosecution likely has a motion or two, whether or not you have any motions to put before the court. If no motions are filed by either side, the hearing will be short.
