Legal Question in Administrative Law in Colorado
A process server came to my place of employment to serve papers for one of the employees. I accepted the papers. The employee wasn't happy about it. The employee said I should have refused/ignored the person. Could I have refused/ignored the process server without breaking any laws? What's the protocol?

Yes, you can refuse service without breaking any law.
However, the server can do "drop service," which is exactly what it sounds like: make you aware what they are serving and just drop it right there. So ignoring it wouldn't do any good.
