Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Colorado
Default Judgments
Recently a friend of mine filed a lawsuit in the 10th circuit COA. The opposing party had 30 days to respond. They did not respond and so my friend file a motion for a default judgment. He received a letter from the clerk advising him that this court did not grant default judgments!! Is this true? And if so--how can a court ignore this very important rule of law?

Re: Default Judgments
No defaults in COA. No "lawsuits" can be filed in COA. COA reviews District Court judgments only.
