Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Colorado
Restitution
I commited a theft in 2005.I was finally charged in 2008 and put on probation for a year. The defendant was given 90 days to request restitution. During one of my probation appintments i saw that my court fees had gone up because they added restitution. This was after the 90 day period. what should i do to fight it?

Re: Restitution
The trial court should retain jurisdiction. File a motion to challenge restitution as improperly assessed. The court won't fix it until you bring it to the court's attention. File the motion.
