Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Colorado
Can oral contracts be included in a bankruptcy?
My father recently filed for bankruptcy, and in naming the creditors, he listed my grandfather. He had borrowed a good deal of money from my grandfather but they had no written contract. It is my understanding that my father would not be legally responsible to repay this debt anyway. Is this true? And if so, would that not be enough to have my grandfather's name removed from the list of creditors?

Your grandfather was appropratedly listed as a creditor. A contract to repay money does not necessarily have to be in writing.
