Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado
What does it take to have an "assumed" partnership? I have treated my manager as a partner. When I hired her, I provided the capital, and she the expertise. I am in debt $200,000 and she has decided to leave, taking with her most of the stylists, and is moving about a mile away.

This is a complex question and requires more information than provided. You may have a partnership through an oral agreement. You really should have had a written agreement, but if all you have is an oral agreement that may be binding. If there is a partnership this partner may be liable for her actions.
You need to contact an attorney quickly on this matter to assist with some resolution.
