Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado

My business partner and I have a lawsuit and counter lawsuit against each other. The judge ordered us to follow an agreed upon stipulation on running the business. This became a court order until the trial date. My partner has completely ignored the stipulation and is running the business as he wants. What are the ramifications for him doing this? Is there something I can do to stop him. I have proof and long list of violations he has done.

Without more facts I cannot give good advice. But you might consider contempt of court proceedings. Talk with your attorney handling your case.

As noted in the prior answer, it is likely that you need to file a motion for contempt. Contempt claims that there is an order and the party is not complying with that order. You file a motion making your claim and request remedies (remedial, punitive, or both). The court will set a hearing and you must prove your claim.

If you have an attorney, contact them regarding the motion. If you do not have an attorney, I strongly advise that you at least contact one so they can advise you under a limited representation regarding the law and procedure. Contempt is complicated and not something you should do without some advice.

I wish you the best with your case and good luck.
