Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado
I am in a contract with qwest until 8/26/11 for my internet. Qwest was just bought by Centurylink. Is the contract still valid with qwest or does it become void since they were bought by centurylink?
I would rather cancel and move to another company.

As a Franchise Attorney I can say the following. You are most likely bound to the new buyer, unless there is a specific clause prohibiting assignment by the provider in your underlying contract - and this would be very unusual. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
